On the go inventory management with a mobile app
When we heard that several local businesses struggled with keeping track of inventory we decided to start working on a solution. We created an inventory management system coupled with a mobile app with barcode scanning functionality to easily track inventory in different locations on the go.

Project overview
The inventory management system consists of a web application and a mobile app. In the web application you have all the tools to set up your inventory management. Administrators can create products, departments and locations, add users and manage access privileges.
The stock levels can be viewed both on a product and on a location level. On the product level you can see the full history of stock updates for that particular product. On the location level you can see the full history of all products at this location. This makes for a comprehensive overview of inventory across every product and at every location where you use and/or store your products.
For accounting and reporting purposes we included an export to excel/pdf which generates a report of all current stock levels at that point in time.
Mobile inventory tracking
To keep track of inventory on the go we created a mobile app with barcode scanning functionality. In the app you have an overview of all your products and the current inventory levels spread over various locations. With the barcode scanner you can scan a product to see it's details and update it's stock.
To allow for more control for administrators we implemented a system of update requests and notifications. When an employee performs a stock update an update request is made. Administrators get notified of these requests and have to approve the request to finalise the stock update.
