Website, e-commerce & automatic invoicing for charity
Round Table 112 is a chapter of the Round Table Belgium working to help local charities, organisations and the environment. Our objective was to create a website and implement e-commerce functionality to allow for online fundraising and sales.

The challenge
The Round Table 112 is an organisation that focuses on raising funds and awareness for a variety of social and environmental goals. To that end they are involved in organising events, yearly holiday chocolate sales and afforestation. The responsibilites for these activities are shared between all members. This made for a couple of requirements for their website:
- Easy content management
- Online fundraising and sales
- Automatic invoicing
- At the lowest possible cost
Our solution
We opted for a Wordpress website since this is a proven CMS platform with a vast amount of free plugins that could be used to meet the requirements. The online sales and fundraising is handled by Mollie, a third party payment provider. To keep monthly expenses to a minimum we did not use any paid plugins for the e-commerce functionality or automatic invoicing. To meet the requirements we extended a free plugin with custom code to account for bulk ordering discounts. The automatic invoicing was also custom made to avoid having to use any paid plugins.
